﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><sura id="74">
  <aya id="1" text="O you (Muhammad &lt;tt&gt;SAW&lt;/tt&gt;) enveloped (in garments)!" />
  <aya id="2" text="Arise and warn!" />
  <aya id="3" text="And your Lord (Allâh) magnify!" />
  <aya id="4" text="And your garments purify!" />
  <aya id="5" text="And keep away from &lt;I&gt;Ar-Rujz&lt;/I&gt; (the idols)!" />
  <aya id="6" text="And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of Allâh's obedience as a favour to Allâh)." />
  <aya id="7" text="And be patient for the sake of your Lord (i.e. perform your duty to Allâh)!" />
  <aya id="8" text="Then, when the Trumpet is sounded (i.e. its second blowing);" />
  <aya id="9" text="Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day." />
  <aya id="10" text="Far from easy for the disbelievers." />
  <aya id="11" text="Leave Me Alone (to deal) with whom I created Alone (without any means, i.e. Al-Walîd bin Al-Mughîrah Al-Makhzûmî)!" />
  <aya id="12" text="And then granted him resources in abundance." />
  <aya id="13" text="And children to be by his side!" />
  <aya id="14" text="And made life smooth and comfortable for him!" />
  <aya id="15" text="After all that he desires that I should give more;" />
  <aya id="16" text="Nay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our &lt;I&gt;Ayât &lt;/I&gt;(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)." />
  <aya id="17" text="I shall oblige him to (climb a slippery mountain in the Hell-fire called &lt;I&gt;As&amp;#173;Sa'ûd, &lt;/I&gt;or to) face a severe torment!" />
  <aya id="18" text="Verily, he thought and plotted;" />
  <aya id="19" text="So let him be cursed! How he plotted!" />
  <aya id="20" text="And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted!" />
  <aya id="21" text="Then he thought;" />
  <aya id="22" text="Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way;" />
  <aya id="23" text="Then he turned back and was proud;" />
  <aya id="24" text="Then he said: &amp;quot;This is nothing but magic from that of old;" />
  <aya id="25" text="&amp;quot;This is nothing but the word of a human being!&amp;quot;" />
  <aya id="26" text="I will cast him into Hell-fire" />
  <aya id="27" text="And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is?" />
  <aya id="28" text="It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)!" />
  <aya id="29" text="Burning the skins!" />
  <aya id="30" text="Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell)." />
  <aya id="31" text="And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Qur'ân is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Qur'ân is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: &amp;quot;What Allâh intends by this (curious) example ?&amp;quot; Thus Allâh leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind." />
  <aya id="32" text="Nay, and by the moon," />
  <aya id="33" text="And by the night when it withdraws," />
  <aya id="34" text="And by the dawn when it brightens," />
  <aya id="35" text="Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad &lt;tt&gt;SAW&lt;/tt&gt; , or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities." />
  <aya id="36" text="A warning to mankind," />
  <aya id="37" text="To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins)," />
  <aya id="38" text="Every person is a pledge for what he has earned," />
  <aya id="39" text="Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islâmic Monotheism);" />
  <aya id="40" text="In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another," />
  <aya id="41" text="About &lt;I&gt;Al-Mujrimûn&lt;/I&gt; (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them):" />
  <aya id="42" text="&amp;quot;What has caused you to enter Hell?&amp;quot;" />
  <aya id="43" text="They will say: &amp;quot;We were not of those who used to offer their &lt;I&gt;Salât&lt;/I&gt; (prayers)" />
  <aya id="44" text="&amp;quot;Nor we used to feed &lt;I&gt;Al-Miskin&lt;/I&gt; (the poor);" />
  <aya id="45" text="&amp;quot;And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allâh hated) with vain talkers ." />
  <aya id="46" text="&amp;quot;And we used to belie the Day of Recompense" />
  <aya id="47" text="&amp;quot;Until there came to us (the death) that is certain.&amp;quot;" />
  <aya id="48" text="So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them." />
  <aya id="49" text="Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition?" />
  <aya id="50" text="As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys." />
  <aya id="51" text="Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey." />
  <aya id="52" text="Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allâh with a writing that Islâm is the right religion, and Muhammad &lt;tt&gt;SAW&lt;/tt&gt; has come with the truth from Allâh the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.)." />
  <aya id="53" text="Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allâh's punishment)." />
  <aya id="54" text="Nay, verily, this (Qur'ân) is an admonition," />
  <aya id="55" text="So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)!" />
  <aya id="56" text="And they will not receive admonition unless Allâh wills; He (Allâh) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any &lt;I&gt;Ilâh&lt;/I&gt; (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins)." />
